  1. I am deeply saddened by this news, which I’ve just stumbled across whilst searching for news of the author. Robert Holdstock’s work has been a great inspiration to me – in my life and in my writing. I have spent many years wandering Mythago Wood – and greatly enjoyed Avilion, a beautiful, if inadvertent swan-song.

I would like to send his family and friends the deepest condolences and my thoughts will be with you on Friday.

    His words will live on.
