August 2002
- The sequel to Celtika, the keenly-anticipated The Iron Grail - Book two of the Merlin Codex, is now available. Published in hardcover from Earthlight, it can be obtained from all good booksellers throughout the UK and Ireland.
- August is proving to be an exciting month for Holdstock fans, because two of Robert's Mythago books are also being reprinted. Now you can get Mythago Wood - the novel that started it all off - in paperback from Earthlight, while also picking up Gate of Ivory, Gate of Bone in paperback - the final book in the Mythago series.
- To celebrate the publication of Mythago Wood, a sample chapter from the novel is now on this web site.
- A new print of Lavondyss and The Hollowing will be released early in 2003 in the UK.
June 2002
- American fans of Robert's work will be delighted to hear that Celtika and The Iron Grail, the first two volumes of The Merlin Codex, have
been sold to Tor Books in the USA. The company has also picked up the US reprint rights to Mythago Wood and Lavondyss, the first two novels of the Mythago Cycle, both of which have been out of print for
some years. Publication of Celtika will be in Spring 2003; publication dates for the other novels are yet to be announced.
- Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn, the sequel to Mythago Wood, is still
in print with Penguin Roc.
- A chapter from Robert's forthcoming novel, The Iron Grail is now on the web site for those who wish to get a taste of his latest adventure. Plus, read David Langford's essay: "Thoughts on The Merlin Codex".
January 2002
- The paperback edition of Celtika has been released by Earthlight in the UK.
 December 2001
- Thanks to Kim Sanghoon, translator of the Korean version of Mythago Wood for letting me know that the book has been published by Openbooks since September 2001. Apparently Korean fans of the book are already demanding the sequels!
November 2001
- The Czech edition of Celtika (Keltika), published by Polaris, is the second-best selling fantasy title in the country in November 2001.
 - Celtika will be published in paperback by Earthlight in January
2002. It has been selected as WHSmith's SF and Fantasy paperback of
the month.
- Rob delivered The Iron Grail to Simon and Schuster at the end of
October 2001. It's a 120 thousand word sequel to Celtika, which completes the
Greek part of the story: that of Jason and his new Argonauts. The
novel will be published in hardcover in August 2002.
- Mythago Wood and Gate of Ivory will be published in new editions by Earthlight at the same time (August 2002), with Lavondyss and The Hallowing published two months later. (This will be the first time the whole Mythago Cycle has been in print together.)
June 2001
 - Editions Denoel, in France, has bought the rights
to the whole Mythago Cycle, including the
novella "The Bone Forest", to be published in
two omnibus editions. The first will comprise
Mythago Wood (La Forêt Des Mythagos), Lavondyss and "The Bone Forest".
The second volume will be The Hollowing and
Gate of Ivory. All five books will then be
published individually by Editions Gallimard,
with "The Bone Forest" attached to Mythago Wood.
One of Robert's early SF novels is also up for
French translation (to his surprise and
delight) but has not yet been finalised. It's
a matter of 'watch this space'.
March 2001
- The first edition of Celtika sold out within three weeks. A second edition of the hardcover novel is now available. The book has been extensively reviewed and thus far the response has been extremely positive.
- Four of the Mythago cycle novels - Mythago Wood, Gate of Ivory, Gate of Horn, The Hollowing and Lavondyss - will be reprinted, and should be hitting the shelves in 2002.
January 2001
- Robert's latest novel, Celtika: Book one of the Merlin Codex, is now available to buy. Here we see Robert striking out into new territory, though still retaining his distinctive style of melding myth and fiction into new and fabulous forms. The novel posits the idea that long before meeting Arthur, Merlin encountered Jason, pilot of the Argo and seeker of the Golden Fleece, in Greece. Then hundreds of years later, Merlin hears tales of a screaming ship at the bottom of a lake in northern Europe. His trek to discover the truth of the matter is the beginning of a fantastic story, full of magic, beauty and doom.
- Based on the last information I received, Robert is busily working on the second part of the Merlin Codex. The series will consist of two books only - though who knows where it might develop after that?
